Cased Birthday!

I love this card! I don't feel funny saying it, either, since I cased 99% of it off of a creative stamper on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/. I apologize because I don't remember her name. I needed a boy birthday card and looked under "Just Baseball" as Ben LOVES baseball! I fell in love with this card but made a couple tiny changes. I wanted his name on the front to make it personal and then I added the baseball and the corners. The corner I punched out (love that punch!) because I made a mistake in the lower left corner of the card and needed to cover it up!! There is ALWAYS a way to fix a mistake:-) Thanks for looking!!

New Rubbah!!!!!!!!

This card looks much prettier in person. My scanner does a really bad job with making colors look accurate:-( Anyway, this set is from the not-yet-released 2008 Spring/Summer Catalog!! The best part is - Stampin' Up! sent one to all of their demos for FREE!!!!!!!! I LOVE NEW RUBBAH!!!! Especially when it is FREE!!!!!!!! OK, I'll stop screaming now:-) It's just that this company is so generous with their demos - they really know how to make us feel appreciated. This card uses Certainly Celery paper for the background (which is one of my faves!) but it looks so bright in this photo. It's actually much duller - but in a good way:-) It's a fun set and will be one of the Level 3 Hostess sets in the new catty which comes out January 1st. Can't wait!!!

Teacher's Birthday

As is typical of kids, my 10-year-old daughter approached me this morning a little before 8am to tell me it was her teacher's birthday today. "Can you make her a card?" she asked. Of course, my "stash" of cards has everything but a birthday card. So I scrambled to throw something together before she had to leave at 8:10am. Didn't make it. I did, however, make this card shortly after she left and will have to run it over to school. I challenged myself to make it simple without embellishments. It may not be visible in the picture, but I used the tool kit to make a row of holes in the top of the certainly celery strip of cardstock and used the crop-o-dile to make dry embossed circles in the scallop part of that same piece of cardstock. I was pretty happy with the results. Thanks for looking!!!!!!!!

Doggie Thank You

Well, once I had my new puppy, I had to go and buy the Yappy Day stamp set! It is really sweet:-) I made this card as a thank you from Patches (my beagle) to our next door neighbors. Actually, their dogs, Wrigley and Riley, gave Patches a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" present of a couple puppy toys. He wanted to say "thanks" so I made him this card to give:-) The words are from the AWESOME hostess set called "So Many Sayings." Thanks for stoppin' by!!!

Another Christmas Club Card

I'm trying to crank my cards out for my Christmas Card Club tomorrow night. I have to squeeze in time while the puppy sleeps. Tomorrow morning he needs to go to the vet - so I'll lose a little time then. I will sleep better tonight knowing all three of my cards are at least designed. This card comes together easily due to the colorful designer paper. It sure helps cards come together in a snap! Match the cardstock to the paper - no thinking required. I love those kind of cards!! This is, once again, using the set: Fun & Fast Notes. Hope you like it:-)

Wedding Card

My husband has a good friend that he grew up with whose daughter just got married. So, Hubby asked if I could make a wedding card for him to send. I don't make these very often since most of the people I know are already married. So it was fun to use a stamp that hadn't been used yet! This stamp is from one of my favorite sets - Fast & Fun Notes. I colored the cake with markers in the soft subtle family, but it doesn't show up very well on the scan. I wanted a simple yet pretty card. Hopefully the bride and groom will like it:-)

Boy Birthday

Yesterday my son went to a friend's birthday party. So, as usual, I wait until the last minute to get the card made. The boys play soccer after school quite frequently so I thought that would be a good theme for the card. I used a soccer ball and greeting from old stamp sets, but I think it came out pretty nice. Hopefully the boy's mom like it!! (You know the boys couldn't care less!) Thanks for looking:-)

Blame it on the puppy!

Wow - I didn't realize it was quite so long since I've added a new post here. Time to get back to it!!! I haven't been stamping as much as I want to. First, we had Grandma and Grampa visit from Florida. Then, something possessed me to go out and get a puppy!! I don't know what I was thinking!!!!!!! It's like having another baby! Don't get me wrong, he's sweet and adorable(a 3 1/2 pound Beagle).... AND, I love him to pieces! However, he's also a lot of work and takes time away from other things. But he's worth it:-) Since I don't have any new projects to share, I'll introduce you to the new man in my life: Patches.

Christmas Club Card

Two nights ago I had my first Christmas Club gathering. The participants come and make a dozen cards - 4 each of 3 designs. I design them (or case them!) and cut all the supplies - they just come and make them. I will have two more of these get-togethers. One in October and one in November. So, by Thanksgiving, all these ladies will have 36 of their Christmas cards done already! This is one of the cards we made. Simple, yet elegant, and easy to duplicate. I usually send around 75 cards a year, so I need something that's easy to duplicate. This card uses one of my new favorite sets - Peaceful Wishes. I didn't buy it at first because I already had several Christmas sets. However, I am glad I did:-) I really love it!!! Thanks for visiting!

Polka Dot Birthday

Who doesn't always wish they had a stash of birthday cards on hand?? I certainly do! This card came together nice and quick because of the FUN designer series paper! This card could actually be stamped with any phrase for many different occasions. I love the colors and how the stripes and polka dots coordinate so well together. This is the Cutie Pie series of paper which I've used before on this blog and I just LOVE IT!!! It is so cheerful and fun:-) Lately I've been really getting into the clear buttons, too. I love putting some coordinating designer paper behind them to tie a card together and add a little something. Thanks for visiting!

More Fall....

Wow - I didn't realize it's been so long since I've added something new. I'll have to add a couple new cards to catch up! I had a class this week and couldn't stay away from the Fall theme. As I've said before - I love the colors, smells, sounds, etc. of Fall. AND, I love our SU! Fall stamp sets, too:-) This card has an unconventional Fall color - Blue Sky - but since it was in the designer paper series "Fall Flowers" it tied everything together nicely. This is also the first time I've used chipboard on a card. It was fun!!

This next card we also did at my class. This used the fun set "Autumn Fest" that is on special until the end of this month. So many neat things you can do with it! Great for techniques like rock n' roll, kissing, watercolor crayons (direct to stamp), etc. I will get a lot of use out of ths set for both cards and scrapbook pages! TFL:-)

I LOVE FALL!!

I know Summer just ended
.........but, Fall is in the air!! I love this time of year! I love the colors, smells and feel of Fall.

I was on SCS already this morning and saw a card challenge......well, at least I thought it was a card challenge. I didn't realize until I finished my card that it was a SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGE!!! DUH ME!! Obviously not awake yet. Anyway, this is what I came up with - you can view the sketch here: click

I love the colors, pumkin and hodgepodge but, if I had to do it over again, I think I'd remove the small row of punches in the green designer paper. I think they are a little distracting and don't really fit this card. I was just trying to match that CARD sketch......I mean, scrapbook sketch.

I better go take a shower and see if I can wake up before I face the rest of my day!!! Thanks for looking:-)

Get Well Card

I've been meaning to make a Get Well/Thinking of You card for the past week or so and I keep forgetting. Well, I finally did it tonight. There is a fellow SU! demonstrator (a side-line of mine) who went into the hospital to have a large tumor removed and I wanted to let her know I am thinking of her.

This card is actually semi-cased from Erika Martin. You can view her original card on her blog at http://www.stampinmama.com/. She made her's into a gift card holder, where mine is just a unique-shaped card.

Thanks for looking!!!!!

Bright and Punchy!

Since I spent much of yesterday running errands and taking care of some business, I gave myself time today to play around with my stamps. I saw this color combo somewhere else and thought it was so cheery! Then I loved the idea of layering all the different punches together. The polka dot background from the "So Happy" set was put on using versamark as I thought using Pink Passion ink on the same color paper was too dark for this project. The words I stamped in white craft ink to make it pop! I've got a birthday card in the works, too, using a color combo I saw yesterday at Walmart. Stay tuned.............. Thanks for looking:-)

Welcome Baby Boy!

Wow, it feels like forever since I had time to sit and stamp. This past week has been so busy getting ready for Labor Day weekend. Today I took a day to relax and lay low. Now I'm itching to stamp! There seems to be a baby boom going on so I thought I'd start popping out some baby cards! This card uses the cute "Wild About You" set along with some old designer paper. I love buying the designer paper because it coordinates with all the Stampin' Up! colors and I know I'll eventually use it in scrapbooks or on cards. I have loads of it and I think it adds so much to a project. I also used one of the fun clear buttons with a punched out circle of the designer paper behind it. Hope the recipient likes it! Thanks for looking:-)

Photo Album

This is a mini photo album I made for the girls who attended my daughter's 10th birthday sleepover. I took a bunch a pictures at the party and made copies for all the girls. I bought one of those vinyl photo albums at Walmart and slid out the covers they came with and made my own. Each girl will get one of these with their "Thank You" card from my daughter. I also included a page after the pictures that has each girl's name along with their phone numbers so they can all keep in touch (since they don't all go to school together). Of course I decorated that page, too, to coordinate with the cover!! Hope they all like them!! Thanks for looking:-)

Holiday Mini Swap

This is a card I made for a swap I am participating in for the new Holiday mini catalog. The stamp set is called Love & Joy. I also used some of the beautiful new designer paper. There are so many neat new products to choose from!! Not only brand new stamp sets and wheels, but also wrapping paper ( I LOVE the Blizzard paper!), ribbon, gold and silver elastic cording, On Board Accents (chipboard) and embellishments! If you don't have a copy of the mini, contact me and I'll get you one or check on-line on September 1st here to view all the fun new items. The products in this mini catalog will only be available from September 1st, 2007 thru November 30, 2007.

Doggone Cute!

I LOOOOOOOVE this dog made from the Pick A Petal stamp set!! I saw him on a swap card at a meeting I attended today. I took a picture of the swap and had to come home and use him on this card. My kids are going to a 5-year-old boy's birthday party tomorrow and thought this would be perfect! I have a feeling I'm going to be making him a lot - he's so doggone cute and easy to whip up! Hope you like him, too:-)

Thankssss!

This is a quick and simple "Thank You" I made for my daughter's birthday. She loves snakes and she loves purple! The punched out flowers are from the bouquet flower punch and I doubled them with a white one underneath so I could put some glue and dazzling diamonds in the center for some BLING! Can't really see it in the photo. Added some white gel pen dots in the center of the flowers along the bottom to make them pop out a little more. Off to make a bunch of copies so she can write them out tomorrow!!

Happy 10th Birthday!

My daughter celebrated her 10th birthday today. Actually, she's been celebrating for several days and I'm exhausted!! Slumber party, movies, dinner out, presents, etc. I was so pooped last night that I didn't have much creativity flowing through my veins. This card uses a layout that I use frequently. Quick and simple. I do love this stamp set (All through the Year) with the matching wheel. I chose the colors to coordinate with the wrapping paper on her packages. Now I need a day or two to recuperate! Thank goodness school starts next week:-) Thanks for looking!!!!!

Slumber Party Project

My daughter is having a sleepover tomorrow night for her 10th birthday. One of the projects we will be doing is this composition book with a matching pen. It uses the Cutie Pie designer series paper from Stampin' Up!. That is my favorite paper!!!! Pretty easy project for the girls - hopefully they will like it:-) Thanks for looking!!!!

Luggage Tags

We made these luggage tags at my stamp class the other night. Everyone loved them! I really love the colors - groovy guava and bayou blue. I think they are soooo sharp together! The stamp set - Wanted - I received free at convention and didn't think I'd ever really use it since it's not really my style. However, once I started playing with it and found out the scallop punch works perfectly with the large flower image - I've found it has LOTS of potential:-) The plastic name badge holders I picked up a Walmart, believe it or not. Thanks for looking!

Watercoloring

At Convention, one of the sessions I attended was on watercoloring. I love this look but don't feel I do a very good job of it. I really think practice makes perfect. Anyway, we did some watercoloring with pencils, crayons, inks and chalks and it was so much fun! They all give their own unique look. I am going to do this card at my class on Thursday and demonstrate how to make a pallet of color by scribbling the pencils onto a small piece of watercolor paper and then lifting it off with an aqua painter. Hope the girls enjoy it!!

Pocket Card

My daughter is having a sleepover for her 10th birthday in 1 1/2 weeks. She is sooooo excited and I wanted make an invitation for her that was bright and fun. I tried to make this pocket card kind of look like a sleeping bag. I don't know if I succeeded or not.......but my daughter liked it!! I love, love, love this Cutie Pie designer series paper the best of all of them. In fact, I bought three packages of them!! I just think the colors are so cheerful and will probably do a stamp project with the girls at the slumber party using these papers. I better rest up before the big day because I'm sure I won't get much sleep:-)

Convention Swap #2

I am currently packing, stamping, and organizing all at once. Yep - tomorrow is the big day: I leave for Denver!!!!! I am very excited:-) This is, yet again, another bookmark. My daughter has a top with these colors in it that I really like and I always wanted to stamp something using these colors. As always, it looks much nicer in person. I used the two new colors Soft Sky and Groovy Guava along with Close to Cocoa. I really liked how it turned out. The funny thing is - I didn't even want to buy this stamp set (Baroque Motifs) when I first had the opportunity. It just didn't do much for me. Now, however, I love it and use it all the time:-) Well, I better get back to packing, I don't want this to be too late of a night. BIG day tomorrow!!!!!! Thanks for checking in:-)

Convention Swap

Finally I am getting around to posting this. I am disappointed, though, that the colors look so "blah" once I scanned it. It really does look nicer in person. I thought the Almost Amethyst and the new color - Groovy Guava (love that color!) looked so nice together. I just got this new set, too: So Happy. I didn't see a lot of samples on SCS with this set, so I challenged myself to make my swap for convention using this set. I also had fun playing with the new scallop punch. I pretty happy with how this turned out:-) Only a few more days until I jet off to Denver!! Can't wait!!!!!

Simple Swap

Well, seeing as convention is only a week away, I thought I better get to work on my swaps. This bookmark is actually something quick I threw together and may not use as a swap. I haven't decided yet. I may make a few for the ladies in my Bible Study group, however. Just got all these new sets and wanted to play with them. I do have a card started for a swap and will post it tomorrow. Getting excited about Denver.........only 7 days away!!!!!!!

Blue Baroque

I didn't buy this set (Baroque Motifs) the first opportunity I had because I wasn't crazy about it. However, after seeing all the awesome samples on Splitcoast and realizing how versital it is, I decided to buy it. I am soooo glad I did!!! There is so much you can do with it and it always looks good! This card I did at a workshop last night (which was a blast, by the way:-) Thanks, Rita!) and everyone seemed to love it. I will most definitely be pulling it out again in the near future to play with. Possible for convention swaps!!! Thanks for checking in:-)

Playing with New Stamps!

I am having such fun playing with all my new stamp sets! This is a card I made for a friend who just had a baby girl after having 3 boys. I am so excited for her:-) Can't wait to see that baby!!

My daughter wants to go to the zoo with friends for her birthday party this year, so this set, Zoofari, will definitely come in handy!

Off to bed so I can get up and work on more projects for my Open House! Thanks for visiting.

Double-Line Doodles

I have been absent the past few days due to working on things to hand out at our 4th of July Parade. It went GREAT! However, it was close to 100 degrees. YUCK! Thank goodness for the breeze and spray bottles:-) Another SU! demo and her husband did much of the work on the float and it was awesome! When I get a picture of it, I will post it. In the meantime, I have a card using the Double-Line Doodles set from the new catalog. I am trying to clean out my stamp room and get organized so I can stamp a bunch of samples for my Open House tomorrow night. This one I used the new In Color Soft Sky, along with Lovely Lilac and colored some of the paisley in with Wild Wasabi. The paisleys are colored more than is visible in the scan. Hope you like it!

Pick A Petal!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! I, obviously, haven't posted in a while. This week has been full of activities. Tomorrow we are celebrating my mom's birthday and my 8-year-old son wanted to make her a card. He designed this card, chose the stamp set and colors, and helped me put it all together. I think he did a pretty darn good job! I know his Nonnie will love it!! I am in our town's parade on Sunday with a group of ladies and a Stampin' Up! float. I will post the bookmark that I am handing out tomorrow. I will also try to remember to take a picture of the float and post it on Sunday:-)

Card Challenge

My kiddos and I have been enjoying a busy summer, so far. Trips to the zoo, pool and more Little League Baseball Games are keeping the family on the move! Stamped a little last night with my good friend, Jill, and then we watched a chick flick. I want to start making a good collection of cards using the new sets that I can display at my Open House. This card used the new hostess set called In the Spotlight. I really like it and used the Sketch Challenge by Beate for the layout. She is an AWESOME stamper and posts frequently on SCS as well as does a lot of their tutorials. Her card challenge can be found here: Beate's card challenge #7. It's fun and simple - give it a try!!

Retired Stamp Class

Today I am working on projects for my stamp class tonight. (Nothing like waiting to the last minute!) I was actually up late finishing a card for a new catalog swap. I will post that card, too. This card, however, uses two sets that are retiring the end of the month. Both of them have been favorites of mine. They are Lexicon of Love and Loving Hearts. Don't forget, there are just a few more days left to order you favorite retiring items!! Waiting for my new catalog to arrive..............:-)

Punch Box Mini Card

This is a little 3x3 gift card that we made at the meeting today, also. I love the sweet simplicity of it! Two of the colors are new, too - Soft Sky and Blue Bayou. Add my favorite green color - Certainly Celery - and we have a winning color combination!!! This card also used the FABULOUS new punch box tin. I think this is the best one so far - so many things you can do with it!! Tomorrow I will be using it to make a bunch of swaps - I will post it when I figure it out:-)

More New Stamps!

I attended an AWESOME meeting today where we had this motivational speaker - Karen Phelps. She was PHENOMENAL!!!!!! She made me want to get more organized in my house and in my life. However, when you are a stamper, that's not an easy thing!!! I have card stock, punches, ribbon, scissors, stamps, ink pads, etc.....ALL OVER MY FLOOR!! I'm lucky I can even see the carpeting:-( A messy room is the sign of a creative mind! (that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!!) This is a card we made at the meeting using a couple of new sets - the Christmas tree is from Year After Year and the words are from a set called Holidays & Wishes. Oh, I almost forgot, there is also a new jumbo wheel called See You Around that was wheeled on the Pomegranate piece of card stock. Love it!!!!

New Stamp Set!!!

Finally!! I am finally posting a card using one of the new stamp sets. This week has been crazy trying to catch up with everything after being on vacation. VBS every morning, baseball 3 out of the last 4 nights. I finally got around to unpacking my suitcase today!! Anyway, this card is made with a new Hostess Set called "In the Spotlight." The colors really look sharper in person. The stamp set is really neat and has so much versatility! As I always suggest, check out SCS to get lots more ideas. I am hoping to play more with my new sets tonight and tomorrow so my goal is to upload more fun new samples.

PARADISE!

Well, if I can't be home, I guess the next best place is paradise. This is where we spent Father's Day - a beautiful lake up in the Smokey Mountains. The weather was ideal and the scenery incredible. You can truly see God's handiwork up here. Topped the day off with a little fishing and a root beer float! Not a bad day:-) Heading home tomorrow - hopefully!!

Homesick!

Well, it's Saturday night, June 16th, and I am in Tennessee. My family and I are on our way back from visiting my husband's relatives in Alabama and Florida. Now we have stopped off in Tennessee for a few days where my dad used to live and I am in the process of selling his home. The weather is great, the hotel is nice, and the kids have been pretty good. However, I AM HOMESICK! It's been 1 1/2 weeks since we lefts and I miss my bed, my house, my stamps.....EVERYTHING!! I am so ITCHING to stamp!! I have all my new stuff sitting at my house unopened just waiting to be played with!! I keep looking at Split Coast Stampers to see the new samples being made with some of the new sets and I am sooooooooooooo jealous!! Since I have no fun samples to share, I thought I'd share a picture from vacation. I should be home in a few days where I'll crack open my brown Stampin' Up! box and play with my new stamps, In Colors, and accessories!!! Till then......check out SCS for lots of great ideas:-)

School's Out!!!

Well, today was the last day of school for my kids (if you count 1 hour a day!). I am so proud of them - they both had excellent report cards!!!! So, they were rewarded with a new Webkinz. To them, that is gold! If you have young kids, you know exactly what I'm talking about! Webkinz is the latest Beanie Baby fad and allows for them to virtually take care of their pet on the internet. It sure beats a real pet!! No barking, no feeding and no using a pooper scooper!!!! Anyway, it was a good day all around. I even whipped together a quick Father's Day card for my FIL. In fact, it was so fun and quick, I'm going to crank out a few more tonight for the other men in our lives. This card actually comes from a challenge on SCS. You can find the directions here: oragami shirt card. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Heck - my DH even liked it and he never comments on any of my creations! Hope you like it, too:-)

Welcome Summer!

Yeah! I think summer if finally here to stay:-) Yesterday I took my kids to the pool and bike riding. Tonight we just got back from a family bike ride, too. Such a beautiful evening!!! I started a card like this one this morning and really liked it.....until......I started messing with it a little too much and MESSED IT UP! So, now I wanted to remake it the way it originally was to share it with you. This is one of my favorite color combos - purple and green! The Lovely Lilac and Certainly Celery go so nice together! And, how perfect, I had some celery designer paper to add a touch of fun:-) This set is a current Level 2 hostess set that will be retiring at the end of June called Both Way Blossoms. I love the long stems and delicate outlines. Hope you enjoy it!! (The silver circle paperclips I got on clearance @ Target a LOOONG time ago.) Now I'm off for an evening walk with my neighber..........

Pretty Pearl Ex

This is a card from my technique class last week. It uses Pearl Ex powder which has lots of fun uses! We simply brushed it on a versamark stamped image - and it has such a nice shimmer to it. It's much prettier in person! I also used two of my favorite retiring stamp sets: French Script background and the set All I Have Seen. If you love them, too - remember, you only have until the end of June to purchase them!

Back on Track!

Yes, I've slacked off over the weekend. Too many parties and plans and not enough stamping. Actually, I did stamp a graduation card - but used a non-su! stamp for the grad hat as I didn't have access to one from Stampin' Up! I felt kinda guilty as I am a VERY faithful and dedicated Stampin' Up! stamp user. But I didn't really have a choice - and it turned out pretty nice anyway.

Chocolate Lattice - Pink Version

This is the same as the lattice card below - only I used Regal Rose instead of Ballet Blue on the ribbon and flower. I also used the flip side of the Au Chocolate paper. Looks like my "Happy Birthday" stamp is a little straighter than the words on the card below. Either that, or I just got lucky! This is a card for one of my downline - Lisa D. Her birthday is in a few days, so hopefully I'll get it in the mail on time!! Lisa, if you are reading this - I didn't forget you!! Your card will get in the mail.....eventually. I think I only have the old postage stamps, though. So, your card might come with 2 cents postage due!! HA!!!!

Chocolate Lattice

This is the 3rd of my five projects for tomorrow night's class. I just love the look of the Au Chocolate paper. There is so much you can do with it!! This was made using the basic lattice card template with a strip of the chocolate paper adhered on the cardstock before cutting it. As you can see, I am not great at getting my word stamps mounted on my wood blocks very straight (as my friend, Jill, always reminds me!). Obviously, something I need to work on!! E-mail me if you'd like a copy of the lattice template!!

Salted Background

Another card for my class tomorrow night. This is a fun technique, but I realized there is a trick - LOTS of water! I did it once and it looked terrible. Forgot to spray my cardstock first with water. Then I read Beate's tutorial again on SCS (not always good about reading directions!!) and did it over. I'm pretty happy with the results. Such a fun technique to play with as it turns out different everytime! Two projects down, three to go!!!! Back to work...........

Pocket Card

I just love the way white ink looks on the darker colored papers. But I always seem to forget about using it with my wheels. So tonight, while I was doing what I do best (surfing SCS!), I came across a card I just loved with this Petals wheel using the white ink. And....since I having been trying to think of ways to dress up a gift card (for Girl Scout leaders and teachers), I thought I would try this technique and make it into a pocket card. So simple and fun!! I am really happy with how it turned out! I also am a huge fan of the black gingham ribbon - so I had to throw some of that on there, too. The tag inside the pocket has a gift card secured on it with the slit punch. Had to make it purple - that's my FAVE color!!!!! Now I need to go make five more:-)

Doodle Alphabet

I have a stamp class coming up on Wednesday so my wheels were turning today thinking about what cards I am going to make. I had already decided which techniques I want to teach my customers, but then I always have trouble nar-rowing down which stamp sets to use and what color of cardstock looks best. Well, this is my card for teaching the class how to use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. With so many people talking about clear stamps and how easy they are to line things up, I thought if they knew how to use this handy tool, it makes lining things up a breeze! I also used the handy dandy slit punch to make my scallop borders. I just love that trick!! The color combo I got from this very useful tool: color combos. OK, one project down - four to go!!!!!

Shane's Card

I've finally gotten around to making a card for Shane. If you are unfamiliar with Shane, please check out his website and see what you can do to help him: Shane. I'm not overly excited by how the card turned out - but I usually have trouble with cards for guys. I don't want them to be too frilly - so that leaves out most of the fun embellishments! I did take the package from the Crab & Co. set and put it on a dimensional to add depth. I also added the googly eyes - I love this froggy with those eyes!! Anyway, I hope Shane likes it and I hope he gets his birthday wish!
